SixNew Yorkers juggle love, friendship, and the keenly challenging specterof adulthood. Sam Wexler is a struggling writer whos having aparticularly bad day. When a young boy gets separated from his familyon the subway, Sam makes the questionable decision to bring the childback to his apartment and thus begins a rewarding, yet complicated,friendship. Sams life revolves around his friends-Annie, whoseself-image keeps her from commitment; Charlie and Mary Catherine, acouple whose possible move to Los Angeles tests their relationship; andMississippi, a cabaret singer who catches Sams eye.
